Trail Rides at Bears Ranch offers magnificent horseback rides through the
Chris Park and Haviland Lake trail system.
It’s our joy to share western traditions with travelers from all over - we’re so excited to see you in the saddle!

Corral Rides are available for riders under 7! Little riders are lead by a wrangler or parent around the corral area for about 10 to 15 minutes. It is a great way for littles to experience time in the saddle, and for pictures!
Availability for corral rides does vary day to day - so please call 970-844-4049 to make a Corral Ride appointment!

Please note before booking:
- Riders must be at least 7 years of age to go out on the trail. (We offer corral rides for younger riders!) There is no double riding allowed.
- We have a strict weight limit of 230 pounds per rider. This is to protect our guests and horses.

- Reservations cannot be made online within 48 hours of the scheduled ride. If you are trying to book within that time frame please call the ranch to check availability.
- During the heat of summer southwestern Colorado does experience a monsoon season, so if available, we do recommend morning rides.
If it is going to rain it is more likely to rain in the afternoon during this time. (Monsoon season usually runs late June through August)
- We are closed on Sundays May through August
-We are closed on Mondays September through October
-Our trail riding season will run May 10th - October 13th
