Our Winter Season Has Begun!
While we were fortunate to receive a lovely winter storm in early December, recent conditions have caused our sleigh trail to thin, making it unsafe for the horses to pull a sleigh at this time. Until additional snowfall arrives, we are pleased to offer beautiful horse-drawn carriage rides along the same scenic route.
Guests with existing reservations will be contacted two days prior to their scheduled ride with updates regarding trail conditions.

Old-Fashioned Sleigh & Carriage Rides
Our scenic, old-fashioned sleigh and carriage rides last approximately 45 minutes and feature breathtaking views of Engineer Mountain, the Needles Mountains, Hermosa Cliffs, and Haviland Lake. Warm blankets and hot chocolate are provided, making this a cozy and unforgettable way to experience Southwest Colorado. This beautiful trail is designed to create lifelong family memories.

Sleigh season runs through the holidays and continues into the spring as weather permits. All rides are reservation-only—please call or book online in advance.
VIP Tiki Sleigh Ride 🌅
The VIP Tiki Sleigh Ride departs at 5:00 PM, just as the sun begins to set. This one-of-a-kind experience offers stunning views of the Hermosa Cliffs and the glowing alpenglow on the Engineer and Needles Mountain ranges. On the return trip, tiki torches illuminate the trail, creating a truly magical evening atmosphere. Guests on this ride also receive a Bear’s Ranch souvenir neck wrap.

Uber & Rideshare Notice:
Guests arriving via Uber or rideshare should please arrange transportation back down the mountain, as Bear’s Ranch is located approximately 20 miles north of Durango.
