About the Home of the Brave Museum
Home of the Brave is a historical museum and heritage campus dedicated to preserving the memory of the men and women who served the United States during World War II and across generations of military service.
Founded in Honolulu, Hawaii, the museum spent decades collecting artifacts, uniforms, personal stories, and wartime memorabilia that tell the story of the generation that defended freedom around the world.
Now being rebuilt in Durango, Colorado, the project is expanding into a larger heritage destination designed to connect American history with the landscapes and communities of the West.
Future plans include:
• Museum exhibition spaces
• Outdoor historical displays
• Veteran storytelling programs
• Youth education initiatives
• Community commemorations and events
The museum is being developed as a permanent public resource dedicated to remembrance, education, and civic engagement.
